Dr. Bernard E. Strickland, a WWII veteran who served in the first all-Black tank battalion, was recently presented with his military awards from over 70 years ago after a fire destroyed his original records. I am grateful that Dr. Strickland was finally able to receive the recognition he deserves. Congratulations and thank you Dr. Strickland for your service!
