I think as time passes, we will hear more about the value added to the world stage and overall continuity of post war Europe of Queen Elisabeth II's rule. She was a rare inelegance and was steeped in British and world history. She had a keen sense of discernment which helped her navigate politics and events over the past 70 years. With the exception of LBJ, who her sister Margret was sent to deal with, she was on friendly terms with every President since Truman. She shepherd the transition from the British Empire to the British Commonwealth of Nations.
Queen Elisabeth will be missed by most of the world because of the dignity and forthrightness she brought to the world stage. King Charles III will pail in comparison and may never measure up to his mother the Queen.
