From article: "Rather than deploying to Afghanistan, as he has claimed, the records state that Majewski was based at Kadena Air Base in Japan for much of his active-duty service. He later deployed for six months to Qatar in May 2002, where he helped load and unload planes while serving as a “passenger operations specialist,” the records show.

While based in Qatar, Majewski would land at other air bases to transfer military passengers, medics, supplies, his campaign said. The campaign did not answer a direct question about whether he was ever in Afghanistan."

1SG Mark Gomez; LTC Eugene Chu: At a press conference this morning he stated that the reason there is no record on his DD214 that he was in Afghanistan is that the mission was classified, therefore it won't show that he was there. Then he stated that the DD214 didn't show that he was in South Korea. But he reviewed all of his personal records and it shows he was in South Korea and that his assignment in Afghanistan was classified. Thus all of this is just a smear campaign by the other side, yada, yada, yada. So how is it that you serve 4 years in the Army and are discharged as a Second Class Private?
Here are the records the AP obtained:

Even SF personnel who served in Afghanistan doing secret squirrel stuff, will have something saying they were there. All a DD214 states is where they were at, not actually telling what was done. So, that excuse from him is extremely weak. Same thing with Korea. And being discharged after 4 years with 1 rank lower than what they started....well DUIs can do thar to a person
