"The Water.org Water & Climate Fund, unveiled at the Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York, plans to use $50 million in philanthropic money to create a billion-dollar investment portfolio to help bring new water delivery and wastewater treatment projects to underserved communities, then use those communities’ utility bills to fund further projects."

We are water stupid and quite inefficient at using water. This is evidenced by the competing interests for water by cities and farmers which are beyond the ability of many waterways, dams, and lakes to regenerate themselves. I don't understand why we just bitch about water shortfalls without coming out with a plan to address the problem.
