I always wondered, with the wings forward for more lift in Takeoff the bomb load appears to parallel the fuselage, when you sweep the wings back doesn't that add drag? Or do the wingpoints swivel to remain parallel?

Wingpoints swivel so everything out there is parallel with the fuselage no matter wing sweep.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Did You Buggers Really Need to Kick in the Afterburners so Quick after Takeoff? You Know How Hard it is to Sleep with that Noise? LOL!

We kicked the afterburner in FOR takeoff, once airborne we quickly shut them off so those Navy guys could get their beauty rest......not that it would help :-))

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - That Horrendous Noise at RAF Lakenheath, still haunts My Memories, 2nd Only to the 5 Inch 54 on USS California CGN-36 and USS Arkansas CGN-41.
