My how the training has evolved since the 1970's when I first started out. For me it was Camp Perry and trying to make the President's 100. Tactics and procedures were just "off the line" discussions with senior NCO's. As a senior ROTC cadet and later green LT, I was clueless how to apply 1k shots as part of our operational planning and execution. Iron sights were the norm and seldom were we given scopes. Now everything has changed to high speed scopes and wind calculators while math equations that factor in the earth's rotation.
