I agree it is a solid opinion and even laid out bullets for a path forward. I have done train ups for many marches, and agree the costs have gotten in the way as Nijmegen teams have fallen apart. More support would be excellent. I wear my GAFPB with pride, but think no less of those who complete these rucks. Many a bloody boot has been made by the Soldiers seeking to earn their place. Good share.

If a bit of ribbon or tin gets people focused on PT and even competing with one another, I'm all for it. If Soldiers want to one up each other by claiming they did a 30K instead of a 20K, etc. Let's keep that motivation going.
It's not like these are worth promotion points or anything, it's all about that motivation for PT. If training up for an event so Joe can show off that they're proud of what they did is what works then I'm ok with that.
