Federal Court Strikes Down Texas Ban on Young Adults Carrying Guns in Public

Young people have fought & died for the country, some who were not even in their teens. If they can pass a background check, maybe a little stronger than now so you don't have kids being straw buyers, or if they are in gangs, they shouldn't have their second amendment stepped on. If it's not one thing it's another from the left. They will not be happy till we are singing the International.

This is a sound decision. The goal posts have recently moved yet again from the left. Several on the left have argued we need to allow those under 18 to vote when it is clearly outlined in the Constitution that 18 is the legal age and to change this would require an amendment to the Constitution. But now people from 18 to 21 are too immature to exercise yet another right outlined in the Constitution? So what is the real motivation here? Are adults under 21 the only ones carrying out mass shootings? Actually, the average age is over 30 years old if we look back at the stats. Now the media will attempt to play with the stats by only going back to 2018 and call it a trend ("6 of 9 were under 21")... So what has changed? Availability of guns? I don't think so. Are kids proving to be less mature at 18-21? Did COVID have an effect in which fewer kids got to be placed in social situations? Lack of support for the Police? Allowing and even commending political violence? Not for the left... To them it has to fit their narrative and so they go with simplistic stats vs really trying to get after the heart of the matter. That is unless you know and understand what their motivation is, which is for most, to take all guns from everyone.

Sure, several today will say they support the right to bear arms, but it must be regulated more.
And once they achieve that, their position will "evolve" and pivot to the confiscation of all firearms. They will use simplistic stats to justify their position and ignore the other more prevalent factors which could explain why these things are happening. Making it illegal for 18-21 is just a means to that end. Next the "trends" will say 21-25, AR-15 vs handguns, whatever it takes to take this right away, piece by piece and not really solve the root problem. Personally, I think the problem is with our moral compass. Too many are fighting far too much to restrict religion and destroy historically good organizations and institutions vs those who are not living up to the values and principles of that org. Everything which has been established as a good thing is constantly challenged and made out to be evil, based on the actions of a few. The result, young adults have fewer places to turn to and deal with their anger, reinforce faith, and identify mental challenges. So, we take away guns and some believe the violence will go away? No! Not only will it not go away, but it will in fact invite more government control over our lives.
