People don't trust the Epoch Times because they have a history of fabricating information, presenting misleading information, or leaving out pertinent information.

While it is true that requests prior to January 6th did not reach the executive, but the story misleadingly claims that was the fault of Pelosi. That's just further information on why people don't take that source seriously.

What that article does leave out is the very important fact that they were requested on January 6th and there was a significant delay in their deployment (more than four hours). By leaving this out, the article implies they were not requested at all at any time, which is simply not true. It does not appear that Trump reacted to those requests on January 6th much at all and sat on them and it was Pence that eventually was able to get them deployed.

Gee, the AP got it wrong? Who would've thunk it? I believe they would have been more correct had they reported that Pelosi was asked by Capitol Police if she wanted increased security and she declined. Inasmuch as the Capitol Police couldn't provide greater security without her request, they were precluded (see, I could have said "blocked") from providing it.

I have looked into this claim before and found no credible evidence for it.

I've seen information that the Sgt of Arms of the House and Sgt of Arms for the Senate likely knew, but that doesn't translate to Pelosi or Mitch McConnel. If this was somehow Pelosi's doing, Mitch McConnel would have had a co-equal responsibility.
