There is a solution to satisfy the world's needs for a source of cheap, plentiful, and clean energy, the thorium reactor. Sadly, we've already spent most of the world's wealth on non-starters such as wind and solar. We need to stop being led by politicians and ideologues and learn the difference between true science and pipe dreams. Remember, there are two problems, generation of the energy and it's distribution. Generators using tidal forces and geothermal energy answer only one problem, the generation, but exacerbate problems of distribution, because they must be located far from the consumers of energy. Small thorium reactors, the size of large refrigerators, can be located in every community, safely and economically, where they may produce more energy than all present sources combined.
