5 Things You Never Knew About the B-17 Flying Fortress

Fascinating. Climbed into and along one of these at an air show in SW Virginia several years ago. Was absolutely awestruck by what this machine was able to do and what the crew was required to do to make it happen--one "for instance" was walking the narrow pathway between open bomb bays and another was the extreme cold the crew had to endure during any given mission. Hats off to those guys.
