A killer resume along with a cover note or letter tailored to the position being applied for = key getting that first phone screen interview. Over the years have tossed/deleted many a dud due to spelling errors and worse, failure to *clearly* indicate background/experience relating to the job spec. Also ID-ing any back or side doors to get it into the right hands as many submittals never get past HR screening (i.e., non-human) algorithms.
