PRAY for the Military

LTC Kevin Sullivan - I would take those numbers with a grain of salt. I am an Atheist but I left christian on my dog tags and SRB because I didn't want my Atheism to have a negative impact on my Career. I only changed my status right before I retired when I had an approved retirement. There were others like me that I know of for sure. All I am saying is there are more Atheists than people think.

LTC Kevin Sullivan - Your data is from a religious organization that actively works against the separation of church and state, and is, I believe, flawed. I find it hard to believe that while the nation is about 29% atheist/agnostic/nones, while only "3%" of the military is. I can, however, see why many may try to hide their beliefs, based simply on the comments of senior officers and NCOs about religion.

BTW, "tact" should be either "tactic", or "tack" (if making a sailing reference). Tact is the fact that I didn't sugar coat my opposition, as in lack of tact.

As far as sharing my beliefs? You may want to look at some of my previous posts. Such as the "Everything wrong with (Bible chapter)" series, now up to Lev. 24. Or the Atheist Song of the Day, or Atheist Memes, etc. Or just go to the "Atheism" topic, you'll find me there.

1SG (Join to see) - I am sure the data is flawed as it came from data available (via a Google search) of Congressional Research Service and Department of Defense. Again all I was highlighting an offer and said "it was worth a look" no differently than if I were to point out a military program offered by Atlanta Motor Speedway NASCAR or Baby's R US. They are not for everyone and it is not . Baby haters can scroll right by the past certain offers as well. Regardless the dialogue is fun as it demonstrate how diverse we are with our own opinion.
