Who doesn't wonder about the abject conditions that may have resulted in some food choices? Whether we realize it or not, many of what we recognize as "standard" food preferences are rooted in Judeo/Christian culture - in some places, other religions, perhaps.
I've never indulged in any of the choices presented here - often considered to be gourmet delicacies. Whoever wants my portion of any of them is welcome to it!
As far past "standard" as I've been is Bruin Roast, Shark Steak, and legal Reindeer (via native Alaskans).

I was surprised I have eaten several of those listed here. I grew up on canned bread. Colorado is the home of the Rocky Mountain Oyster (bull's balls) as an appetizer, I've eaten snake and other reptiles, stuffed moose heart (bread stuffinf is what my mom used) while growing up in Alaska (also had bear heart), and so many NOT on this list from the 80+ countries I've lived in and/or visited.

Of all the selection I have eaten one -"canned bread"
If I remember correctly it is called Boston Brown Bread from colonial times which is cooked in cans. Had no idea it was sold in cans though!
I would like try Deep Fried Butter! The recipe has a lot more than only butter in it to give it structure.
