Isn't this how it often goes? The government makes claims that turn out to be an avoidance of the facts because the facts are too hard to handle.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Having the "wherewithal" to conduct an investigation becomes irrelevant and useless unless the "wherewithal" is actually used to investigate, doesn't it.
However, the facts are already known even though that aforementioned "wherewithal" was not used to investigate. Accountability is needed.

Folks who have no interest may not be aware of the Leahy Act which those who are, repeatedly cite. Phyllis Bennis briefly mentions it at approximately 1 minute 8 seconds. No one ever mentions the president can override it, which is what must be happening repeatedly . . . unless it is simply being ignored. If that is the case the president can be advised to actually override, officially rather than ignore the conditions of the Leahy Act.

I saw a photo yesterday of round that had been ascertained to have been used - said to be armor piercing. The PA (Palestinian Authority) is said to have had custody of the round since 12 June. The Video shows the type of round used.

"Al Jazeera yesterday published an image of the bullet that killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh last month.
The news network said the photograph showed the type of ammunition used to kill Abu Akleh for the first time.
The ballistic and forensic experts concluded that the green-tipped bullet was designed to pierce armour and is used in an M4 rifle, Al Jazeera said, noting that the round was extracted from her head.
"The bullet was analysed using 3D models and, according to experts, it was a 5.56mm calibre – the same used by Israeli forces. The round was designed and manufactured in the United States," experts said."
