Russia uses trial of foreigners to raise stakes over talks - Ukrainian official

Though I personally do not agree with Foriegn Legions, have to agree with Ukraine on this, if they were accepted by the Ukrainian Army and wore the Ukrainian Army Uniform during capture they should be protected by the Geneva Conventions just like the motley crew of Chechens fighting on behalf of Russia is. One side in a conflict cannot pick who is a legitimate combatant and who is not. That should always be based on international law, so if these three are executed, Russia's sink into paraiah state status should reach new depths.
