Here's the thing - if Roe is overturned there at least 23 states with trigger laws ready to ban abortion. Also those states are going to seek to criminalize anyone who tries to get an abortion in a state that it's legal in still. Not only that there are legislators who have tried to criminalize miscarriage as well.
And - if Roe is overturned that means the right to privacy goes away which will then not only affect abortion but can affect birth control, HIPAA, and some have stated they'll go after anything else not explicitly stated in the Constitution such as same sex marriage and interracial marriage.
See the problem?

Lawmakers in some states have already publicly said they would push to make birth control illegal. Pregnancy is not necessarily a "choice" of the woman or girl. Rape, incest, etc. The woman/girl doesn't have a choice. Should she still be forced to carry the fetus to term? What if she can't support it? What if the pregnancy is ectopic?

LTC Thomas Tennant -
"Ever expanding permissible period for an abortion..." "Late term abortion..." There is no such term as late term abortion. That's a political term. A later in pregnancy abortion ONLY happens when the fetus is no longer viable and it's impacting the life of the pregnant person. No doctor is doing an abortion on viable fetuses inside healthy pregnant people. Nowhere. So you can stop that bullshit.
The Declaration is nothing more than a historical document. The Federalist Papers have nothing to do with our system and the Bill of Rights is part of the Constitution so I don't know what the hell you're even talking about. I don't think you do either.
Roe was passed on the right to privacy so if it's overruled, there's no more right to privacy. It's that simple.
The unborn don't have a right to my body or anyone else with a uterus. We can't force people to be organ donors. You can't even force a parent to be an organ donor to their child if they match. So why are we giving so much autonomy to clumps of cells? Fetal kick isn't when viability happens. It's quite obvious you don't know when viability is or what it is. A "fetal heart beat" isn't a heart beat. Six weeks there's literally no heart. Also no one is having an abortion "up to the moment of birth." STOP THE INSANITY!!
The pro forced birth argument sickens me. You guys don't care about life or you wouldn't be allowing children who are actually alive to continue to be SLAUGHTERED in schools. Also why is the burden of pregnancy SOLELY on the one with a uterus? You can't have a pregnancy without sperm. A man can produce 100 pregnancies in a year while a woman can only have one every 9 months. Yet there's no laws being passed against men's healthcare. Only those with a uterus. Why is that? The pregnancy is not always a consequence of sex. JFC. You people just want to control and that's all you want. You don't care about children or even fetuses. This "pro life" argument is the easiest "cause" to take because they have no expectations. You don't have to be accountable to the "unborn." So you can "fight" for them because you don't have to produce any results.
You're right - no one consents to being born. I didn't. But me in the womb I had no priority over my mother's life. If she had chosen to abort any of her pregnancies oh well. So what? I wouldn't have known. I just as easily could have not existed if my parents hadn't met in college when they did. Got married when they did or just chose not to have sex when they did that resulted in any of my or my siblings conceptions. Hell my youngest brother wouldn't exist if she hadn't had an affair. So yeah choices have consequences. The only one who gets held hostage is a person who has to be forced to continue a pregnancy they didn't want.
In 1973, we as a society gave women the right to decide their own healthcare. That's what happened. Abortion is NOT a method of birth control. Anyone who has a later in pregnancy abortion that was a WANTED pregnancy. Even some early in pregnancy ones were wanted. It's none of your business why someone has an abortion. Period. It's not your business.
No it should have been passed under equal protection, not right to privacy, and it wouldn't be able to be overturned. That's what even RBG said.
Just because you don't see things being affected means shit because you live in your privileged little bubble where these rulings won't affect you. Roe has been a matter of ruled law for 50 years but that's getting overturned - so take your "legislated law" and shove it up your ass because if Roe is overturned other rulings are going to be overturned. Birth control is next, along with interracial marriage, same sex marriage and other things.
I'm so fucking tired of the pro forced birth crowd thinking that you can control everyone else.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - Your comment is all over the map and also very offensive. derogatory and disrespectful. We as a forum should be better than that. So if you can, let's proceed in a civil spirit.
YOUR POINT: "The Declaration is nothing more than a historical document. The Federalist Papers have nothing to do with our system and the Bill of Rights is part of the Constitution ... Roe was passed on the right to privacy so if it's overruled, there's no more right to privacy. It's that simple."
MY POINT: They are not just historical documents and are the supreme law of the law of our republic. It shows a lack respect and understanding on how this country was founded and how it is supported to work. Roe v. Wade was a flawed ruling base on a right NOT enumerated in the Constitution, the Bill of Right or any other amendment since. Even the "Notorious RBG" has stated Roe needed to be revised...meaning over turned...and a better ruling put in its place. Justice RBG also stated numerous time that the Bill of Rights should have include the "right to privacy" and as such we needed a new constitutional amendment. You mentioned "Equal Protection" argument and that too is a stretch in the Roe case because who was being denied protection.
YOUR POINT: "Why is the burden of pregnancy SOLELY on the one with a uterus? You can't have a pregnancy without sperm. A man can produce 100 pregnancies in a year while a woman can only have one every 9 months. Yet there's no laws being passed against men's healthcare." REFRASED....Why are horny young men not held accountable for the pregnancies they create?
BUT BETTER TO ASK - Why are there so many single parent households where the man (father) is not present? Many see this as a root cause of many of society's problems. My short answer is because of ramped liberal socialist policies. I would submit that we as a society have lost our moral compass and have failed to hold people accountable for their actions. The New Deal, The Square Deal, Great Society and several "feel good" programs of the 40' thru 80's have done nothing but tear at the building blocks that made America great, particularly the nuclear family.
Big Government with big social welfare programs replaced (more like forced) fathers out of the family picture. Not only does this deprive young boys & men of positive male roll models but, with abortions on demand, encourage young girls to be tramps. It is a vicious cycle and many call it the Democrat planation. And No, I do not live in a bubble but have witnessed it first hand in several postings across America. Any anyone who has ever served in Recruiting Command will give you the horror stories to back up this general assessment.
The way out of this mess is to start holding everyone accountable. We need to start encouraging and teaching young men and women to start being ethical and morally upright. Spell out the consequences of unprotected sex. Emphases needs to be place on respect everyone, especially women because a pregnancy is a 9 month burden.
YOU ASK: So why are we giving so much autonomy to clumps of cells?
MY POINT: Calling a fetus a clump of cells is not only intellectually dishonest but dehumanize a life. "Clumps of Cells" is the lie liberals tell themselves because they do not want to acknowledge the fact abortion is ending a life.
SO I ASK AGAIN: So where does the rights of the unborn begin and the those of the mother ends? This is a moral question and by saying the unborn have no rights you have shown that you are basically for murder.
And late term ablutions do happen and are encouraged by Planned Parenthood. Project Veritas has proven it by the undercover work they did. In fact the governor's race in VA was decided by that very fact when Terry McCullagh said he was for the mother after birth to decide termination of the baby's life. For you to say the fetus has no rights means that you condone the murder of the unborn. It also show me you do not respect life. For most of us that is unacceptable.

LTC Thomas Tennant - I have answered that on all the posts you keep regurgitating your bullshit. They don't have any rights. They don't exist.
I addressed this on your other post. I'm not doing it again.
Movement in the womb isn't viability. I addressed that as well.
No one is aborting a fetus "at the moment of birth." No one. It's not happening. Please stop posting straight up lies and misinformation. It's embarrassing.
