Yep, taught most of it as a Human Resource Advisor, Force Mgmt., Force Development and Diversity Initiatives. Doesn't make it all true or correct. What people were never enslaved? White people? Black encompasses Caribbean, African, etc.? Most of my family weren't considered citizens even after the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments were passed. It will be interesting to see the exposure you get from what I see as the least racist venue on-line.

CMSgt Marcus Falleaf - Maybe I should've asked if you read all of it.
"If you want to find racism, you will" sounds awfully like you misunderstood the purpose of the blog and aim to downplay the issue of racism against blacks, seemingly due to your skin color and because much of the subtopics don't affect your regular day. Instead, you try to align whatever your ethnicity is with Blacks. Funny enough, that tactic is addressed in the blog.
Furthermore, I talked about a lot more than slavery. Your narrow focus on just that, combined with your vague claim of teaching whatever, in your second comment doesn't account for any of that. This "All Live Matter" type of vagueness is also discussed in the blog.
If you did actually teach any of this, that first statement seems like gaslighting as you should know that it is false for the simple fact that evidence supporting much what I've said can easily be found in the links provided within the blog and other official sources.
But to be fair, you answered "yes" to my question:
"Did you read any of it?"
Seems like another case of a RallyPoint member replying to a headline, versus actually taking the time to provide an informed response, just for influence points or because you feel your simple two cents has value. Or, maybe you just don't care about having a productive conversation, so you treat this like Facebook .
Finally, I've gotten many valuable responses on RP to content like this in the past. Lacking prejudice doesn't discount a community from having valuable insight on this topic. Or, was your statement about posting this on RP supposed to tell me something about your own prejudice?
A community of Vets should be better than this. Makes little sense to go out of your way to reply to such a sensitive yet important matter to basically say nothing a bunch of nothing.
