Here's my unpopular opinion on how to stop mass shootings: Stop glamorizing the shooter!
It seems to me the majority of these murderers were social outcasts who were pissed off no one was paying attention to them. After their heinous actions, the news media plastered every single detail from their birth 24/7 non-stop for weeks (and sometimes months). In the end, the monsters got the attention they were seeking in the first place.

Okay!!!!! I was able to see this time. You could have asked most any one with combat experience what a 5.62 mm rifle projectile does went it hits many different places in the body, how it deflects and strips meat and ligament from bone. Also the entrance and exit points and the deference in damage.
Literally these doctors know little.
By the way an AR 15 is not an “Assault Rifle”. The “A R” stands for armalite (light arms). They do not fire in auto, only semi. You must pull the trigger for each round. Many legal gun owners like them. And do no harm.
The truth is, it was not the weapon it was the demented selfish asshole who wanted to take (unarmed) innocent life. He could have done a lot more damage with a .357 mag or a 44 mag. I was a weapons instructor for SARG at JBMDL. I don’t guess I know how to hit targets uphill or down. With calculating wind, air density and distance. But maybe the doctors could do better.
