Opinion: In the US, the rights of a foetus come before children in classrooms

Just 10 days after a deadly mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, where a self-described fascist and white supremacist killed 10 Black people in a supermarket, the US must content itself with another horrifying episode of gun violence.
At least 19 children between the ages of five and 11 and two adults have been murdered at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, after an 18-year-old entered the school with a handgun and opened fire.
It’s one of those events where words fail. Every descriptor seems to fall short in describing the wrenching, sickening, icy horror of children being gunned down in a place where they absolutely should feel and be safe. But there are questions we should be asking now – of lawmakers and of the state of Texas.

What in the world is a foetus.
Oh BTW not one of you care about these kids. During that same hour the shooter was in the school no less than 600 children died from starvation and 75% of those were under 5 years of age. Not a single one of you have ever raised any concern over that issue. You have kids in your own city going without and you do NOTHING. All you want to do is blame an inanimate object instead of the person. You don't want to spend money on mental health care but you have no qualms about restricting the rights of others

Your not getting all the facts about what happened there Chip. They Texas had instituted the FBI suggestion to have resource officers in all schools. In that district they have four(4)for the eight (8) elementary schools. They have Red Flag law’s that were not followed up on. He was a known threat. But many did not report him. And had a long gun as well as a hand gun.
