LTC Eugene Chu Having the companies held responsible for the amount of nonrecyclable waste they produce sounds like a good idea. I remember when glass bottles had a deposit on them. As a kid we would go around the neighborhood collecting the bottles that people threw away and turn them in for the deposit. It's surprising the number of bottles we could find.

Until all waste products are mandated to be biodegradable this problem will never go away. Its near impossible to find a recyclable site in my area.
