State legislatures around the country have been trying to prevent transgender girls and women from competing with their peers. How that's playing out in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska depends on politics and people.
Daniel Wheeler remembers how it felt to don a girl’s suit to compete as a swimmer in high school. Waiting to dive into the pool, the eyes of onlookers upon him, was excruciating.
"It hurt my mental health so badly,” Wheeler said. “Like there were times, when, even though I love to swim, I didn't want to get into the water."
Today Wheeler, 21, wears the correct suit when he swims for the men’s team at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Assigned a girl at birth, Wheeler came out as a transgender man in college.

Biological women and biological men have no place competing gainst each other.

Sorry, but if you were born with a penis, no amount of wishful thinking can make you a woman. There are pronounced biological differences between men and women, denser bones, greater lung capacity, muscle propensity, muscle distribution that no amount of hormone therapy can change. Same as with a biological woman trying to be a man, if you were born with a vagina, your bone density is less, lesser lung capacity, muscle distribution, propensity and a host of other issues. I do not care what you call me, you cannot refute biological truths.

Sharing their ignorance? People have studied this. There is not an even playing field. The British sports council looked at studies. Man are 10 to 15% stronger than women suppressing Testosterone only reduces strength in males by 5%. Men still have greater muscle mass, larger lung volumes and greater cardiac outputs. The BritishSports council stated you can be inclusive or you can be fair it you can’t be both.
