These are the adverse consequences of this legislation. In healthcare we are cognizant that we must do the greater good and reduce adverse consequences.

There are a lot of errors in the article and some scare tactics. No, you will not be put on hold for treatment of an ectopic pregnancy. ER doctors are very aware of the laws effecting practice as are OB doctors and the article clearly states this. Ectopic pregnancies occur in about 0.2% of pregnancies if even that high, not 2%.
