Abortions will not stop no matter how hard the Christian Taliban tries. We will not submit to religious bullying or theocratic encroachment on free society. We will not have it.

Roe v Wade was flawed in that it took something that should have been the purview of the individual states and made a Federal issue out of it. Regardless of whether SCOTUS overturns Roe or leaves it standing, the genie is already out of the bottle. For me personally, I don't agree with abortion as a form of birth control but I would rather a woman have access to safe, regulated, proper medical services than return to "rusty coat hanger in the back alley" type of situation. The states passing legislation to make abortion a felony is just ignorance of the highest level.
When done properly, Tubal Ligation and Vasectomy procedures have a high percentage (greater than 80% according to some medical journals) of being reversible. Instead of the failed "abstinence only" position that many espouse, maybe making sterilization easier to obtain is the better option. Even then, if you don't want children, use several forms of birth control (condoms, IUD, spermicidal gels, etc) to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Even after my own vasectomy, I still used contraceptives. Might be overkill but I don't have any unwanted children or sex partners having abortions (that I know of). Nothing is 100% foolproof but taking responsibility for your own actions would certainly help lower the need for abortion overall.

Capt Gregory Prickett - You probably should keep your religious views to yourself. Just amuse me please... when does a person begin?

Question would it be better for that "child" to starve/ go hungry, suffer from poor care or be abused because the mother was not capable of taking care of it? Or foster care , an orphanage? There are thousands of children who face this quality of life. I once asked several abortion protesters would they be willing to adopt or care for that child who they were fighting for and the answer was no. Nor were they willing to do anything toward a support system for these mothers and the children.

Did Roe v Wade make fewer children in poverty? NOPE! Are the cities better now? Nope.
