Will be interesting to see if this Sig Sauer rifle unseats the M4 as the standard issue rifle in the armed forces.

If combat load weight remains the same each individual will go into battle carrying fewer rounds.

The only difference I see is the caliber, and I like that they have developed the weapon to fire the .277Fury/6.8. It's a better combat round round than the 5.56. Gene Stoner's family should be rolling in residuals for His AR design.
