I would say that while fasting is not easy I feel Kyrie being a top level athlete may have actually helped in his ability to fast, at least from a mental angle. It takes an incredible amount of discipline and sacrifice to make it to the pro level. Their diet is focused around what's good for their body despite what they want to eat, they pound out grueling exercise, practice and game schedules despite the muscle fatigue, and more importantly at least for fasting these individual have a level of mental toughness that has been sharpened by these demands.
I'm really amazed he didn't have any issues with cramping as Kyrie didn't drink "anything" during the game.
Some of the games are set for 7 PM or later so hopefully Kyrie will get to enjoy water -
