Republicans want to screw the poor? What a joke. What is screwing the poor is rampant crime and inflation, both brought to you by Democrats.

Why should the Republicans put forth ANY plan? The Democrats have proven they have exactly ZERO interest in ANYTHING the Republicans have to say. "Bipartisan" Joe Biden, with the slimmest of possible majorities, has reached across the aisle... Well... Never. Even the Infrastructure bill was bipartisan because the Republicans OFFERED to climb on board. And not a SINGLE other thing this administration has done has had any meaningful input from Republicans.

So they should make a tax proposal.... Why?

As for taxes ... The solution to our problems is not more taxes. It is less spending. But good luck getting EITHER party to be willing to balance the damned budget. Both want to spend spend spend - they just have different spending priorities. Republicans want to spend on things that individuals CAN not do for themselves - like military and roads. Democrats want to spend on things individuals WILL not do for themselves, if they can get the government to do it for them - like earn a living or raise their children.

The poor don't pay. In fact, half the nation doesn't pay. What happened to "fair share"?
