NFC tech troubles me. We're accelerating the pace into new high-tech advances without doing sufficient due diligence in security testing. I'd rather be 100% sure of the tech's safety and security before adopting such systems as NFC. George Orwell's cautionary tale in his dystopian world of "1984" raised the flag of diminished personal security and near-elimination of privacy. There's much to be concerned about these "advances" in tech that are chipping away at our privacy by dangling "cool carrots" to lull us into a false sense of security. I'm a tech guy, but I'm growing more concerned with the so-called "advances" that are making too many things easily accessible when they shouldn't be.
