Thank You Sir for Sharing This Very Important Event which displayed the Courage and Fortitude to overcome Overwhelming Odds to Defend their Camp and ultimately the villages from destruction. It’s also important, as you stated Sir, that the First US Military were sent to this country to be Advisors and Restricted by unreasonable Rules Established by our own politicians which made their missions extremely dangerous and cost too many lives senselessly! Hampered by unrealistic Rules of Engagement by our Politicians, these type of battles continued until the embarrassing evacuation of the last troops at our Embassy years later. Sadly, the Courage and Bravery of our Vietnam Veterans have never really been appreciated properly. There was no parades or big celebrations for these tried and Proven Warriors retuning home to America. Actually, we were discouraged to even wear uniforms when traveling by Air because of the attacks to our veterans in Airports and other travel agencies. Sadly, it was the American Government and Politicians that First Broke The Peace Agreement s to end this Political Conflict/Action known as The Vietnam War. God Bless ALL Those Who Proudly Served and Died For Our Country! They Will Never Be Forgotten as long as Historical Events/Battles are Shared like this. Thank You again, Sir!!! Doc

Great song! I actually served with his son Thor. We were company commanders together and he didn't talk much about his old Man but now and again had an interesting anecdote to share
