MSgt (Join to see) Looking for a career is a serious job where planning and organizing is critical. When I was discharged, my plan was to work for the Space Program. I knew that I needed a degree, so I would move to the Houston area, obtain a good job, and start college. I interviewed for an operator job on the Houston ship channel. I went through a series of tests and had three interviews before two of us were hired out of 100 people that were interviewed. I was hired because I had done research on the company, was clean cut, did well on the tests, and the interviews. Going to college and working shift work meant that I was at work, at school, eating meals, studying and sleeping. There was very little time to do anything else. Five years later, I obtained my degree, interviewed, and started work on the Space Shuttle Program. I worked very long hours for 33 years but this was my dream job. I encourage everyone to find their dream career.
