Like many who have studied the law but never practice it, I have a love for it that licensed attorneys seem to lose as they face the day-to-day drama of the worst that people bring in their dealings with one another. Where they become jaded, I remain an idealist. Thus, my opinion isn't shared by politicians and ideologues. First of all, I believe that the U.S. Constitution is the most brilliant document ever crafted prescribing the form and function of a government for free peoples. Second, I am a fervent believer in God-given/Natural Law (choose your favorite description). Our rights are inherent in our citizenship as Americans and not granted by any document or government. Finally, I am sworn to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. With that said, my opinion of the current nominee to SCOTUS is purely my own. I would not, if I were in the position to cast a vote, agree to confirm her. Why? The answer is simple. She has stated unequivocally that she does not support my love and veneration of the Constitution or God-given/Natural Rights. Secondly, she is an ideologue, obviously intent on supporting a progressive interpretations of Constitutional Law that would diminish those Rights.

Captain I might agree with you on majority of what you stated. But I do have a question and don’t take it the wrong way but: What God gave you rights and what are they? I have to say that every time someone talks about their god given rights those two questions always burn on the tip of my tongue. But I figure if anyone could handle and answer the question it might be you.

SGT Tim. Wilson - It's a fair question. It's the reason that I offer the choice of God-given or Natural Rights. As for myself, I chose God but he's hardly like any worshiped by organized religion. Like Galileo, Newton, and others who studied nature to understand God's design, I find great comfort in the natural order of the cosmos. It inspires me to believe that the same laws that guide our tiny corner of the Cosmos apply equally throughout all. I also believe in Ultimate Justice to help me cope with the injustice that exists here. OJ will get his reward, ultimately. As for the name, use whatever you like. An apple is an apple and a peach is a peach, regardless of the word used to name it. As I near the end of my life, I have wandered into the House of the Jew. It is where I feel most comfortable. They, for example, have no name for God thereby signifying that mere mortals cannot conceive of God.

You may get her both but she doesn't know the definition or refuses to define what is a woman? Is it a woman or birthing people? I noticed it was an article recently were black officials was calling in Spanish and black mothers of newborns but was calling white female who had a child a birthing person. Democrats are really getting on the side of stupid!

Hypocrisy you say? At the very least, Republicans weren't asking her about her college drinking habits.

There are hypocrites on both sides but you know cnn' and other reporting agencies won't discuss it. They will do everything to protect the Biden Administration and the Democratic party. Look at the example of the hunter Biden computer.

Sgt (Join to see) That’s my point! Instead of asking real questions they made it about getting their base fired up for midterms and hopefully for 2024.

SGT Tim. Wilson - So they should have asked about her college drinking habits like the democrats did for Kavanaugh instead on focusing on her disregard of sentencing guidelines for child pornography offenders? They should not look at her rulings that blocked Trump-era orders that were all overturned by the DC Circuit Court? A court where she's only issued one opinion since she's been on it. They shouldn't look at her overuse of compassionate release for thousands of drug offenders and convicted murderers?
