Job Title: Pool Monitor II, Area Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/ Part-Time, Seasonal
Pay Rate: Ranges from $15/hour
Pyramid Pool Monitoring Service is hiring three area supervisors/lead pool monitors for several locations in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. We are looking for personable and caring staff for our seasonal job openings! You must be able to spend the summer engaging people of all ages, exercising good judgment, leading and coaching employees, and documenting workplace interactions. Qualified candidates will be selected based on the requirements for our seasonal positions.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring all employees are assigned to active schedules/pool locations
Conducting training and ongoing evaluations of all employees at the pool locations, when necessary
Coordinating with onboarding specialists to recruit and hire, when necessary, employees for your area when vacancies are present
Available and capable of fulfilling the pool monitor position when necessary to fill in during hiring and scheduling gaps
Traveling weekly to different locations to evaluate employees, ensure locations are being monitored properly, restock materials, and identify and address any concerns clients or employees may have.
In addition, Area Supervisors are required to understand and be available to fulfill all pool monitor responsibilities including:
Greeting patrons
Checking for pool passes
Refusing entry to unauthorized guest
Enforcing community pool rules
Maintaining written logs
Enforcing social distancing guidelines in accordance with local pool rules
Maintaining the pool area in a clean, organized manner including, but not limited to:
Skimming the pool for debris
Wiping down tables
Lowering umbrellas
Straightening chairs and tables
Emptying trash
Keep bathrooms tidy and fully stocked
Area Supervisor Work Requirements:
Completion of a high school diploma or GED required
Reliable transportation and available to travel within a 50-mile radius.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency and confrontational situations
Ability to stand, sit, bend, stretch, and tolerate prolonged exposure to the sun
Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
Must be willing to work on weekends and summer holidays
Experience being a team lead, training other employees, and acting as a mentor for other employees
