No Offense to any other Medal Holder but if they have to rename the Army Bases to please the WOKE crowed FT. Stewert should be named after Audie Murphy he is the highest awarded soldier of WWII and everything Murphy is there already at Stewert. He was until Col Howard the most decorated soldier. And let us not forget Daley who earned two Medals in life time. Just saying

Not every fort is named after the genius leader of its era, not every Confederate general was a Lee or Stonewall Jackson. Some of them were actually pretty bad generals, even in the opinion of their own fellow leaders.
Renaming it after MOH recipients isn't a bad call.

Lee was a horrible general and having things named for him is a great educational opportunity. The South was winning a defensive battle, he went into the North, and attacked the Union Army on the high ground. Longstreet was against this action and Lee over rid him and lost one of the biggest battles of the war at Gettysburg. I am dumbfounded that anyone ever thought Lee was great, he lost the fucking war on 3 JULY 1863.

I agree with you it's a bucket full of BS. Could you imagine the Marines being told to rename the Island because some crying group of people said they were offended by its name. I think it's stupid. The only name that blacks should really have issue with is Bedford Forrest he and his men not only did a lot of evil stuff, but the man started the Klan. Robert E Lee started integration of blacks and whites by showing whites it's OK for blacks to be in church with them by kneeling and praying with a black man.

Audie Murphy for Stewart seems appropriate
Roy Benavidez for Hood
Hard to say for Benning; Pershing, Grant, Eisenhower
I'd be ok with keeping Lee, all historical things considered, but as that's not likely perhaps Washington since it's Virginia.
Most people on the keep it the same ticket couldn't articulate who it is they want to keep it the same for. Most of your Soldiers can't either, so don't try and stand on ceremony about history because quite frankly I doubt most Soldiers actually know it. Perhaps a failure of the old leadership.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - Most definitely not, but the French still hate Rommel so I doubt that hate for Sherman is going away anytime soon. He got a tank named after him though.
