Recruits shovel snow in front of their barracks at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill....

I was stationed in San Diego for boot camp, so we did a lot of cleaning, but were fortunate to not have to shovel snow. If you were born in the south, and were stationed at Great Lakes, I bet shoveling snow there was your first experience with the white stuff.
