Drone likely flying from Ukraine war zone crashes in Croatia

A drone that flew over several NATO countries all the way from the Ukrainian war zone crashed overnight on the outskirts of the Croatian capital, Zagreb, triggering a loud blast and damaging parked cars but causing no injuries, authorities said Friday.
A NATO official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the alliance’s “integrated air and missile defense tracked the flight path of an object which subsequently crashed in Zagreb.”
Earlier, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic had expressed concern at how “how a relatively unsophisticated drone flew for over an hour over NATO countries without being detected.”
Milanovic said “it is clear” it came from Ukraine. A statement issued by Croatia’s government said the “pilotless military aircraft” entered Croatian airspace from neighboring Hungary at a speed of 700 kph (430 mph) and an altitude of 1,300 meters (4,300 feet).

Interesting share PO1 William "Chip" Nagel ... Drones are getting better & better every year. It could make any nation a serious regional threat if they invest heavily in drone technology. It's a very interesting topic, that's intriguing & frightening at the same time.

Interesting article, but as someone who has trained to do this in aircraft slightly larger than a drone its entirely possible. The SAC wartime mission kind of counted on it!

It sounds to me to be from Russia, and was on a mission to collect sone sort of data. Why would the Ukrainians be at all concerned about anything in other countries right now, they have horror on their hands. God Bless the Ukrainian people and their amazing President. If I was youthful he would be my role model, at the very leas LT he is one of my greatest HEROS.
