PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln vaccines don't prevent you from getting a virus. The help you fight it. That's immunology 101. The vaccine teaches your body how to fight. Not prevent you from getting it. Now to masks. Per CDC from late march covid size is 0.02 micron, flu and cold are 0.06 micron. They knew this which is why at the beginning of the covid plague the said mask don't work. And recently John's Hopkins released a peer review study to how long a mask protects you. Cloth mask roughly 20 min surgical grade mask up to two hours(not the ones you get at the store) And K95 or KN95 up to 8 hours if they are properly fitted. My wife is an OR nurse (circulating nurse), and a traveling one at that. So have access to info regarding two of three mask mention. During the height of the covid plague she triple mask. Never got it. Didnt get vaccinated till July 2021. I got vaccinated in june 2021. She got her booster at 30 days. I got mine at 10 weeks. Having read a JAMA peer reviewed report at the sweet spot for covid vaccine. Every vaccine has what is referred to as the sweet spot for the booster. The report I read said Pfizer's sweet spot was 8 weeks or 2 months, based on studies in Canada and Europe as the had so many getting vaccinated that some where forced to wait up to 6 months for second shot. Giving them patients to check where the actual drop off was to optimize the boost. Moderna sweet spot never settled it is 8-12 weeks. Given the I split difference on my second booster to 10 weeks.we both have test checking effectiveness. Per hers she needs the third booster at 8 months not 6. Due to me getting 2nd later. They are estimating mine at 10-12 months. More and more science is coming out now that we are in 2.5 on the covid plague. I never use a common search engine to look as it gives you trending first, including click bait sites. Never searches for what you ask for only for a key word or two. Not like in the old dos days where put quotes around and could narrow your search to specfics. I use duckduckgo app on phone it gives you closer to what you typed not trending. Easier to find real info vs so called news story.
