India's ruling party says crime is down. Muslims say they've never felt less safe

Five years ago, prospective landlords in Mumbai recoiled when Kajal Singh told them where she was from.
Singh grew up in Meerut, a city in India's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh. Both her hometown and home state had a reputation for crime. They're where the gangsters are from in Bollywood movies.
So when Singh moved to Mumbai for a job with an airline, she had trouble renting an apartment. No one would trust a tenant from her state, she found.
"I started telling them I'm from a different place, not U.P. I used to lie!" she admits, laughing.
Five years later, in a visit to friends in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow, she finds a different situation. She and her friends are able to socialize at a roadside tea stall at night — something Singh, 23, says she would not have felt safe doing before.
"But now things have changed," she says. "Now I can proudly say I'm from U.P. Now we are feeling safe."

It does not help that India's prime minister is an alt-right Trump loving populist. Just as white supremacists embraced Trump, Hindu supremacists embraced Modi. It sucks to be a minority under either of their administrations.

I spoke to an Indian grocer who I know very well. He is a trump supporter. I don't know if the prime minister of India is a trump supporter but he is racist. So you equating a racist person from India who's prime minister and anti-hindu as being like Donald Trump is wrong!
President Trump invites black college presidents to his White House and the radical left of dlm and others are against it!
We Now find out that Jacob Sullivan, Hillary Clinton, President Obama and president Biden I'll colluded to destroy the Trump White House with fake Russian collusion, wiretapping, hacking into the computers at Trump Tower and the White House and now you find out that the Steele dossier and all his other Shenanigans is related to Jacob Sullivan and others who are in the white house right now working for broke that Biden! So going back to India, I think you have an unfair comparison because President Trump is not a racist but the media has to make him out as such. Remember President Biden saying.... you ain't black if you don't vote Democrat? Nobody called that a racist statement then. When President Trump stop flights from China, Democrats up and down the coast for calling him racist but when President Biden stopped flights from Africa because of the Delta Fair yet, everybody was quiet!
In summary, the president of India is racist but that doesn't mean he is like President Trump. Just like you'll have a black radical commentator saying American flags in the back of trucks going down the highway indicates racism. That is not true!
