Of course she did. The Republican House leadership acted in bad faith when they appointed people likely to be investigated as part of the committee to investigate them. That bit of Kabuki Theater was done so people could make comments like you did above and ignore the evidence that is found.

Now there could have been a completely independent bi partisan committee investigating this. Remind me again why that didn't happen?

SPC Kevin Ford - Let's start out with the Representatives on the committee don't do the actual investigating. They are legislators, not investigating attorneys, not law enforcement, not private investigators. At most, they question at hearings where presumably all the committee members will be in attendance. So, explain how the integrity of the investigation would be compromised. And then match your explanation up against why their potential bias is any more likely to compromise the committee than the bias of Speaker Pelosi's appointed Democrat membership.

Are or are not the Congressional hearings mostly done in public where they can be turned into a circus? Have you watched Congress. If you don't think you can obstruct something by sitting on a board, even in the minority, then I have to believe you haven't done it.

I'll ask you again, there was an opportunity for a completely independent and bipartisan investigation. Why didn't it happen?

And I'll ask again, why are the Democrats any less likely to turn the entire thing into a circus than the Republicans? They would have held the majority of the seats on the commission. The "circus would have been limited to the time each representative was allowed to question anyone appearing before the commission.
