Quite a jump from the last of the Indian wars to a world war for Pershing.

I had an uncle in that fight, Brother Dale. Uncle Frank was Infantry, a Corporal In the First Division, and was gassed in the Argonne Offensive. He never fully recovered. I last saw him in October 1967 when I stopped at his farm near Athens TN when traveling from Ft Bragg NC to San Antonio Tx to visit my parents en route to Vietnam. He passed on two weeks after our visit at the age of 70.
