In the various iterations of companies I have worked for it has always been unacceptable for a supervisor at any level to have a relationship with an underling. If one is so inclined, the supervisor is moved before that relationship develops so the supervisor/supervised relationship no longer exists. If the relationship develops without the separation, the supervisor is fired. Always, the supervisor pays the price. The subordinate's job continues
