Lockdowns do work and containment zones are appropriate in order to control, and contain the spread of Covid-19 with its variants. India is an excellent example of how to work both in tandem.

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana Sir, of the 155 nations listed, India ranks 86 in death per Capita.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwide-per-million-inhabitants/

That is squarely in the middle of the pack. And if you look at neighboring countries, like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangledesh, and Nepal, the only one with a higher death rate is Nepal.

If we look at cases per Capita (https://ourworldindata.org/covid-cases ) we again see India in the middle of the pack at 102 of 202. And higher rates than Afghanistan, Bangledesh, Pakistan, Myanmar (which wasn't listed on the first chart), and just behind Nepal.

You are discussing whether lockdowns can work in practice. But that means nothing when discussing whether they work to stop the disease, which is what the article is about.

No one cares about how to implement a lockdown if the lockdown is useless.

So, where is your actual DATA to show that lockdowns work to prevent COVID infection and/or death. Because it just doesn't seem to be true.

And that is what Johns Hopkins found doing their meta-analysis, too. If you are going to say they are wrong, you need more than "I live here."
