Interesting. You do not need an ID to affect the future of our country (vote!) but you will need to turn over your biometric markers to view your own tax info, or portions thereof. Then next year it will be more parts. The same the following year. It will take several years to roll this into every piece of irs.gov - but I can guarantee they will do so.
And now, when a hacker hacks id.me, not only will they have your PII, they will have your state/Federal ID and/or biometric data. Nice! SMH!
