SPC Michael Terrell NO!!! I have never been in chargeable traffic accident in my life! I drove a semi for a while between Chicago and St. Paul Minnesota. They routed up around the scales when we were overloaded and they were open. Eventually it catches up. I got nailed for 53,000 pounds overweight going across a twenty-ton limit backroad bridge. It wasn't my problem to pay the fine but that's when I decided trucking was not for me.

We had a 40 axle, 4000 HP crawler move an oxygen reduction plant from the Ohio river, to outh Middletown, Ohio in the early '80s. Its top speed as 10 MPH. Most of the trip was on St Rt 4, where they had to temporarily close one side of the highway, and urn the other into a two way road. Telephone, cable TV and some power drops had to be temporarily removed, because of its height.
