SrA John Monette: I noted that the article said a copy of the court order emailed by the CBC. The CBC is the Canadian Broadcasting Channel, isn't it? Usually police in the US and Canada require that the court order come directly from the court and that it be certified as a correct copy by the court. I've had to do this several times in order to get a court order from another state/tribal nation enforced by the local police. Infuriating but unfortunately necessary since there are way too many fraudulent "court orders" floating around the interwebs these days.

Patricia Overmeyer - It sounds to me like the local authorities couldn't be bothered to make sure the order was legitimate. They should have had access to it through their computer systems.
