On Monday, President Joe Biden signed the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act, which included a 2.7 percent pay raise for the troops.
There’s only one problem.

What’s more, roughly 48,000 troops stationed in the continental U.S. are set to lose a cost-of-living allowance meant to help offset prices in expensive locations.
In light of raging inflation and the skyrocketing cost of living, this amounts to a pay cut for members of the U.S. military.

Sad brother Stephen, remember when COLA was almost as much as my BAQ at Ft. Ord, CA and we barley scraped by even with it. Sad indeed.
