The defense is just throwing things up and seeing if anything sticks. Unfortunately for them, nothing does. And a lot of these judges were appointed by Republicans.

Anything that they don't like or disagree with "BLM!" "AnTifA!" My mom's husband is one of the extremely deluded and she told me that anyone he disagrees with is a "liberal c***." He also thinks covid is a hoax...but doesn't want my mom to leave the house because she might get covid...not sure how that makes sense. (Perhaps the fact he's a raging sociopath among other things...).
