Wow. I almost totally agree with 1SGT Imerman. Unions have their place, but we the [people gave the cops these abilities that they abuse. We need more over watch on them. Anyway, him telling the truth won't bring back the man he killed. But to be honest, I'm wondering if he hasn't been told to make this quick. We all know how it riled up America against the party of law and order. Oh, we all know who shows up first when help is needed. But, and it's a big but as well because of what we ask them to do, the special laws we let our police operate under really need to go.

Exhibit A for the elimination of public service unions. The union kept him on the force despite him having more excessive force investigations under his belt than years on the force. He's not alone by any means either. Exhibit B- the main officer in the Eric Garner case, and Exhibit C was Stacy Coons in the Rodney King beating. There are many others. It's time to rid the forces of bad officers, and that means first killing those unions. Behind the barn. With an axe. Now.

I agree the unions have way too much power. Keeping bad apples in a department should never be an option. Too many officers let that badge go to their head and make them think the law doesn't apply to them. But unions do good also. Struggling to think of what that might be right now.

SrA John Monette - A union protects workers from unjust bosses. The government is an unjust boss? If so, we need to fix the government, especially in large urban areas (that's where these bad apples always seem to dwell), rather than keep harboring an institution that protects violent, racist, and/or ineffective workers.

Proof that if you put enough pressure on any branch it will end up broken, whether it was whole or straight or curved to begein with.
