VFW delays event until fat guy with a beard shows up

I've made it pretty much of a practice to start on time when running events and our post has a habit of having people arrive before to help set up and have everything in place. Our concern is with people scheduled to speak or perform tasks they already said they would do show up on time. The mention of women being in the Auxiliary, We don't have an Auxiliary, the women here are Veteran's and I make it a point to introduce them as such including their prior or present Military rank branch of service. Before My first term as Post Commander the two Commanders that proceeded Me in that post were both woman Veterans of the US Navy.
