That's how some cities feed hogs. leftovers are collected by hog farmers and heated up in a giant cooker and served up to the pigs.

Remind me to tell you about the time I pulled KP on a hot day at Fort Ord. I was the outside man and they served creamed corn and fried chicken for lunch. They gave all of our edible garbage to the local farmers, and because guys were throwing chicken bones in with the creamed corn I was ordered to sift through the barrel and pull out all the chicken bones. I have never been able to eat creamed corn since. . . .
