PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Though I've not had that privilege, I love the movie version.

Great song Chip! It got me thinking about the media choices that it was released on. When I think of singles the choices are limited (I'm talking about vinyl; not magnetic or any form of digital) I don't know about how this worked for American Pie. Can anyone with that info enlighten me?

This List shows the limits of Vinyl media:
7" 45 RPM (3:00 Optimum) Little HF loss / low noise; 4:00 Max) HF loss / noise
7" 33-1/3 RPM (5:00 Optimum) Little HF loss / low noise; 6:00 Max) HF loss / noise
